Here's the news. You can't use the XM fit kit for the 2013 radios on the 2014 box. The navigation extension kit plugs right where the XM would go.
I tried just plugging in the XM without the extension box and still no go. 2014 radio is not satellite ready. |

Also, one thing I loved about my headunit was that in Bluetooth mode I could browse through my iphone library... Since adding entune, this ability seems to have been lost and I have to select my song on the phone. When it's plugged in browsing works fine but I liked being able to do it over BT as well...

This upgrade seems awfully expensive for what your getting out of it. In my opinion the stock unit sounds awful. I have pretty sensitive ears so I immediately decided to upgrade the stereo during the first test drive. The guy selling me the car completely disagreed.. He said it "bumped" ...yea...
For almost the same money I have more features and much better sound by going aftermarket. I have replaced all speakers/amp and added a sub. I could buy a add-on $300 gps unit for my aftermarket hu but I don't see the point when Google maps is excellent. I use it everyday on my LG G2 with this mount: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/iMagnet-Cradle-less-Quick-snap-Technology-Smartphone/dp/B008IOQ3K6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1397177889&sr=8-3&keywords=magnetic+cell+phone+holder+for+car"]Amazon.com: iMagnet Cradle-less Universal Phone Mount with Quick-snap Technology, One Hand Smartphone Car Windshield Dashboard Mount Holder for iPhone 4S/5, Galaxy S4/S3/S2, Blackberry Bold, Note 2, Android HTC One: Cell Phones & Accessories[/ame]. If your happy with the OEM sound, want a few more features and have the cash. Id say go for the stock upgrade but the price vs. experience just doesn't balance out for me... Aftermarket audio has always been the only option for me. |

I have the stock 2014 head unit. Can I buy this GPS and get the navigation????????

Yes, you can buy the Entune, Bespoke, or just the nav module. Any of the 3 would give you on board navigation with a 2014 head unit.

I have a 2013 10 series, so I have the new head unit.
What I'm confused about is the difference between Entune or Bespoke. What is the difference? Why two choices? Which one works best with an Android phone (I don't have an iPhone)? Also do these unit's features only work if you have a cell phone? (Nav, etc) or does it need a cell phone to run all these features? (Apps, aha(don't know what that is), pandora etc.) |

They're virtually the same thing. If you are buying new I recommend you stick with Bespoke. You don't need your phone to use the nav on either. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |

I have the stock headunit that comes with the 2014 FR-S but whenever I try to use the Nav it doesn't let me because it says that the feature is not enabled, I need to contact the dealer, blah, blah.
I've called them but they haven't really told me much. Does anyone know if there's a way to bypass this? Would I need to buy anything else (the nav module)? |
