If you want to see well aged cars look at the rx7, mr2, supra, or nsx. We are about a decade and a half away from telling if it is looks good "after all these years."

If you have a daily driver, it's easy. You end up driving the classic one every 3 to 4 weekends. If you have multiple classics, you would drive it even less. Right now, I drive the frs maybe once a week. I don't park money in cars. I enjoy them. I don't think I could fully enjoy a truly expensive car. Even with the 550i, I always worried I would break it. I would not mind a 323gtx, though.

I can't take anything that Salam-whatever guy says seriously. The level of bias and **** riding over that Porsche 918 is just obnoxious. Like when they did that review testing 5 of the hyper cars and the 918 just happened to win both.

I dig the fact this LFA is actually driven though. I couldn't see myself spending 400k+ on a car just to look at it in the garage. I'd want to drive it, a lot!

Oh yeah, and those glasses should be burned. Like right now.

Production started in 2010. I get what you're saying, but automotive design has changed so much in the last few years. Look at 458 vs 488GTB. Same car to the bone, but not quite the same.

I keep telling myself that if I win the lottery, like a big win (5M+) I'll be buying two LFA's and one will be a winter beater. Daily drive them both and watch the internet implode when someone posts a video of me driving it in the dead of winter, covered in stone chips and road salt.

& It will probably be fine cuz 15 layers of that treated paint. The underbody? Not so much.

But the 458 looks like it could be released this year. Most of the exotics that have been released in the past decade have yet to feel the punishment of time on their designs - we will wait.

Used Lexus LFA Nurburging Edition for Sale in the UK is a Steal at US$700,000...

Quote:
If it’s exclusivity you’re after then we have the perfect car for you. It's a Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition, one of only 50 made (out of a total run of just 500 LFAs) is on sale in the UK for the paltry sum of £440,000 – or USD$700,000 if you live in the States.

Sure, the price tag is steep, but Lexus’ limited edition supercar is quite a peach to look at and to drive even in stock form.

For one, it is powered by a 4.8 liter V10 that sounds bonkers and, in spite of the relatively modest (compared to rivals like the F12berlinetta or the Aventador) output of 552bhp, its 3.7 second 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) run and 325 km/h (202 mph) top speed are, in our books, more than adequate.

The Nürburgring Edition, despite being 10bhp more powerful than the stock LFA, retains the same straight-line performance. That’s due to the larger front spoiler and fixed rear wing that create more drag but also more downforce, which makes it 8.85 seconds faster per lap around the Nordschleife.

Moreover, the suspension is retuned and the car height is reduced by 10mm, the new wheels are fitted with special high-grip tires and the six-speed sequential gearbox changes cogs in 0.15 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than the stock LFA.

The LFA that’s up for sale at Joe Macari Performance Cars in London is a 2012 model, has two previous owners and 6,300 miles (10,008 km) on the odometer. It’s also white, with a tastefully done black alcantara interior as you can see in the gallery that follows.

You’d better hurry up, too, as the independent dealer says it’s believed to be the sole example available in Europe…

Lexus LFA Code X Revealed With Larger 5.3L V10

Quote:
Hinting at what future developments may come from the Japanese luxury brand, Lexus today debuted a wild new LFA Code X model at the Tokyo Auto Salon with an even larger engine.

With the standard-issue supercar already boasting a potent 552 hp 4.8-liter V10 engine, this new test mule gets an extra half-liter displacement bump to 5.3-liters. No details have been provided on how much the power increase would be for the new engine, but Lexus has said output has been better tuned to deliver quicker Nurburgring lap times.

The car itself is built by Toyota motorsports partner Gazoo Racing, which has run several LFA race cars at the legendary Nurburgring 24 Hour race over the year and will once again campaign cars at this year’s event.

The LFA Code X, says Toyota, is an “enhanced sports car research vehicle” and, “has been created to enable study of future sports car technologies.”

Those technologies will be put to the test when the car competes at this year’s Nurburgring 24 Hour race alongside another LFA race car and one of the team’s Toyota GT86 race cars.
