Shift boot is good.
I just dislike how the brake book is alcantara right down the entire side of the console. I realize this is how the leather boot is as well. Wondering how it would look if the side of the boot was leather (in line with the console) and the top half was alcantara, with a nice double stitching line to separate the two materials.

The gauge hood looks awesome, but how well does alcantara do against the sun? Does anyone know?

That is pretty much what it was designed for, applications where leather/suede don't hold up but you want the same look/feel.

A few asked about pricing for the items. We're still working on determining the final price but expect the brake boot to be the same as the current WRX as they are almost identical. The shift boots should fall closer to the Miata pricing. Prices for those can be found on our website. The rest of the pieces are still being sorted through.

Other items that will be released with time:

- Knee pads to match JDM style. They will be slightly padded but clearance issues don't allow for too much. We'll probably come out with a separate add on pad for those interested in comfort over looks.

- Door speaker grills to match JDM style.
- Stitch gauge hood (as seen in previous post)
- Sun visor covers
- Steering wheel re-cover
- Door Panel padding re-cover

There are other parts we are considering that will be done down the line. For now, this is what will definitely be available.

I cannot comment on the timeline for release as we're waiting on confirmation of the matching thread from our supplier. This will ultimately be what decides release dates for these items.

As always, feel free to contact us directly for any questions/comments/etc

Great stuff. You can never add too much refinement to a sports car...unless you're gutting it out for track duty.

Definitely looking forward to the knee pads and guage hood. Do you guys think you can whip up something such as this and keep it under the eBay listed one of $150? There's got to be others that want something for their key, no?

I know I've looked at that "key coat" dozens of times.

I do. And the answer is : perfectly well. JPM did the same for my Mx5, it was a top notch job and was fine after a few years.

Thank you for the product idea. We've been considering it since 2pt5RS mentioned it to us last week. We already had a few ideas in mind for this piece, but it is interesting to see this surface. It reminds me of the key fobs that have been available for the STis and other Subarus in the past with keyless entry / start.

Also, our thread manufacturer has placed our thread into production and we are expecting this to arrive within the next four weeks or so. Also, our new machine has arrived. We ordered this machine (1/4" gap between needles) so that we would be able to produce a similar double stitch to what is found within the cabin of the BRZ/FR-S as our existing double-stitch / two-needle machine utilizes different spacing (3/8" gap).

Perhaps we should hold a "Name our new machine contest!"

Best Regards,
Alex

How about making a shift boot for AT that covers the cheap plastic indicator? (since the dash has its own indicator) yeah, it would look like a MT, but it also would look cleaner IMO.

I had that exact thought this morning on the way to work. The indicator there really isn't needed and it would look cleaner without it.
