I really like the way the new FiST looks, but I don't understand why they dropped a cylinder?

Ford doesn't currently offer anything I'm interested in, but I have to give them credit for giving actual car enthusiasts some options at an attainable price. And then they have the GT at the other end, so they've got most incomes covered.

Yup that plus fuel economy & emissions will probably be a little better (even if an I4 also had cylinder deactivation). The thing will probably get insane fuel economy.

I think in other markets, engine displacement has to do with insurance. Therefore, if you can get the same/better performance from the same engine globally... why not. |

I'm glad they finally cleaned up the center stack on the dash.
That headlight switch looks kinda odd. |

Its the same headlight knob they've been using for years. What's odd about it?

"allowing it to go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.7 seconds "
I know 0-60 doesn't mean THAT much, but I'd expect a 0-60 time right about 5.9 - 6.2 for a car with... "200 PS (197 HP) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque" ...did it gain a bunch of weight, or just end up with sub optimal gears (for off-the-line performance?) |

I've never owned a Ford either, but it seems pretty normal to me. Also preferable to a steering column stalk headlight switch.
