Turn Signal Relay Question (Dumb Question)
I have a dumb question. FRS turn signals
I have been running a set of switchback LEDs on my front turn signals for awhile. Decided to switch things up for a bit and swap them for a pair of diode dynamics XP80 amber bulbs I had laying about. Noticed that with them plugged in when the head lights/running lights are on they come up pretty bright, prob about 80%. Then when I active the turn signal they change brightness to 100% and fluctuate between 80% and 100%, but never actually turn off to function as a "blinker." my switchbacks do, however they had a noticeable maybe half second stutter in white before illuminating amber. Onto the question, is this a symptom of the bulbs design that it is not fully deluminating, or a symptom of a bad/poor flasher relay?

I would change your relay for a LED compatible one, once you change to a LED version you can go back and forth from OEM halogen bulbs to LED bulbs.
You can get this from china or locally depending on how long you want to wait and are willing to pay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-Pin-Ele...72.m2749.l2649 |

Thanks, mine is LED compatible, I don't get hyperflash. Looking at some other cars this actually might just be the way some relays work. I have seen a few other cars halogen bulbs doing the same behavior, low light, brighter light, low light, brighter light. guess I just never paid too much attention before.

It sounds normal, when I reverse the back lights are dimmed when my lights are all on. When I turn them all off the reverse light is full brightness and I got LED's in all points of my car. Its a bit like a phone and a tablet, it trys to adjust the brightness based on the ambient light.
