Hi
I'll do my best to answer your questions, answers directly below in italics

I should mention that this will be a track only car, I instruct for a number of clubs in my area, so there will be a lot of track time, and once the car is sorted, a cage will go in for W2W. My previous race car was an E30.

1. Since I have a 2020 MY, it seems that all I need is a longer sleeve to connect to the air box and possibly a new filter (Blitz seems to be the recommended brand)... can I stick with stock or is there just too much restriction?
Is there anything else that is required for 2017+?

No that should be it

2. I am leaning towards Jackson dual rad/oil cooler, some people in this thread mentioned that they are using it, just wondering if anyone with a SC is tracking with this set-up, and if there are any cons?... I will be venting the hood too, mostly for aero, but should help with keeping the temps down.
oil cooler with a thermostat is a good idea and the beatrush undertray also helps keeps temps down

3. I should have more than enough power for the class I am aiming for with this SC, all I care about is reliability, so with that in mind:
a) Can I keep the stock exhaust (don't care about sound)? - yes you can
b) Not because of power, but just to avoid any knocking issues, which octane?
I have easy access to:
91 no ethanol,
93 and 94 with about 10% ethanol,
and almost any octane non-ethanol race fuel - 94, 98 and 100... it's just bloody $$$
94 octane with 10% ethanol will work well - the tune comes with 91 and 93 octane maps as standard

4. Please see attached picture - is this normal or just loose? Couldn't really check it at the time, and now the box is buried behind a bunch of crap (just a little paranoid).
why do you think that end cap is loose? the cap may not be 100% lined up but if the button head screws are tight it'll be fine, the cores are sealed in with silastic too and you almost don't need the screws

5. Engine oil - leaning towards 5w30 to start, will monitor temps and pressure. - definitely, the stock 0W20 is too thin, also if your tyres are better than stock I'd strongly recommend a sump baffle as the pickup gets uncovered in long corners

6. Got a catch can, just because it makes me feel better. if you like but I'v e not found any need for one

I am sure that I will have more questions, but that is it for now. Thank you all!

Thank you, Matt!

Just wanted to confirm on the above points.

Loose was a wrong choice of words, it just threw me off a bit, but thank you for putting my mind at ease.

Two questions for you guys:

1) Anyone installed an intake snorkel to lower IAT or just keeping it stock?

2) My car is currently tuned for the SC with a Cat-back exhaust. Is it "safe" to drive without a tune if I install a catless header with a high flow cat?

Thanks !

I finally installed the Marsh Composites carbon hood. It is a lot lighter than stock hood (a bit of surprise there).

For those of you who has a Cosworth Supercharger, the passenger side does not clear the Cosworth Supercharger intake duct & Coolant Pump and a bit of cutting is required. After trimming the NACA duct that the hose will not be able to fit perfectly but can be installed.

Other than that the hood is very well built. Having said that the packaging is super awesome too! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice hood!

The hood is a lot nicer in person than on photo IMO. I was not convinced when I saw it on the picture but I love the hood in person.

Nice hood and good choice given that these cars are a bit front heavy.

About your other questions, I wouldn't change anything since this might lead to ECU tweaking again.

Thanks! I got this vented hood just hope to minimize the knock and IAT if possible.

Heyyyy I had that same kit! It makes for a very good sounding system when paired with the Legamax Sport or the TRD axelback.

Thanks! Those TWS wheels are super light and I love it too. Wrapped the hood and now looks like this.

Got my catless header with HFC installed, night and day difference.

I should have gone for this route instead of cat-back only.

70,000 miles and running perfectly. Anyone know where to find another Cosworth Aluminum badge? The one the front of my car has faded.

https://www.rallysportdirect.com/par...aluminum-badge

Also, at what point should I consider changing the Supercharger oil? Anyone have the viscosity and capacity?

I think at this point, ebay would be the only option.
