When I quickly scroll past the renders of the rear, I don’t see 86/BRZ at all. Mercedes and Accord and Hyundai yes. It just doesn’t look right. I think the light bar across the back would be a big mistake. Yuck

Me neither, but I'm fairly certain the render has that bit wrong based on the pictures I've seen with the camo. The real fender vent is a bit differently shaped.

Other than the large vents on either side of the front grille, does anyone else see a resemblance to this Porsche?

You guys are just generalizing so many shapes and styles together...the side vents are much more akin to the vents on the RC F, GS F, LFA, Supra..plenty of other Toyota designs that share similar design cues.

I just hope the vented fenders are backwards compatible!

Yes, the theme of the renders we have seen strikes me as being very Porsche. Very German. Almost like a 914 redo if Prosche was going to make a sub-40K front engine sports car.

Now it could just be that the render was done with a Porsche as an influence and the final car, in the flesh, will not look anything like it. But with the above render my first thought was Panamara/ 718.
