So I have a friend selling "ID 1050X" equivalent injectors (so he claims) for $100. Came off his turbo'd BRZ. Bosch 1000cc 95lb EV14 injectors is what they are. For that price, do you guys think I should just pick it up or should I just get a brand new set of DW 700's? What would you guys do?

Contact Zach. Ask him if he has tuned those injectors before. He is a straight shooter.

Welp, I picked up the injectors. Just waiting on my tuner to send me an updated map that will run the injectors so I can drive it off my mechanic's parking lot.

I have a few additional questions: Does having 1000cc injectors compared to stock mean that I will be consuming more fuel, no matter my driving habit or will it be comparable to my stock injector? I like to just cruise and not beat on my car so I would appreciate it if my car didn't suddenly start having 10mpg because of the bigger injectors.

Second: Do I need a new fuel pump to supply gas to my new injectors or will stock do just fine if I'm not doing a high-powered build? I'm at around 240whp at the moment.

Thanks and appreciate the answers.

Depending on how you're tuned, your fuel mileage should stay untouched. You do not need a new fuel pump I had 330whp with 565cc injectors and my average (after I got out of the honeymoon phase) was still in the 30s.

At low load the direct injectors are doing all or most of the work, and the air fuel ratio is unchanged, so no, the gas mileage won’t dramatically change off boost. A supercharger will have more off boost parasitic loses that a turbo, even with a bypass valve, so expect minor changes to fuel consumption with both and more with a supercharger, but in general, it is turning into a lead foot that will eat more fuel.

You don’t need a pump upgrade at that power.
