Passenger seat removal

Has anyone removed the passenger seat in their FRS?
I'm considering taking it out of my car so that I can use it to transport my huge dog on short trips and am wondering if it can be safely and reversibly done or if anyone has done it and has a pic or two?

I've had the FRS for almost a year now (first 86) and have been considering moving on to a different car for more space and am trying to look for another option to avoid having to get rid of my FRS, any help is appreciated!

It's pretty straight forward to remove the seat but you'll definitely get the Air Bag warning light to stay on during your drive.

I'm not sure if the SRS light will automatically reset when you plug the seat back in ...may need to get it reset after your trips.

I know this is a really old thread, but I wanted to add in anyways; I've been without a passenger seat for 6 months. I can't hear the beeping from the airbag sensor anymore ( beeps for about 25 seconds and then it goes silent). and I love the increased space. Passengers also like the rear seat better, more leg room and the seat, to them, is better.

I deliver pizza 1 day a week for cash, and found this to be the best mod I could have done to my car. Love the extra space, weight savings, less people asking for rides. I have no reason to believe that putting the seat in and plugging the airbag sensor in wouldn't immediately fix the light.
