I can take some pictures with the measurements later, but I'd highly recommend just finding a trunk that's already got the holes in it and swapping it on. Seems there's always someone with a spoiler who doesn't want one or there's a recently totaled car being parted out (check car-part.com too).

but got no response, so I'll try on this thread:

Sorry for digging this old thread back up, but I'm in the process of installing my new-to-me '17+ BRZ Limited OEM rear spoiler and Drambeenie risors on a virgin trunk lid, and am asking anyone out here with a '17 and up BRZ Limited or a '17 and up 860 who has also installed the Drambeenie risors for a few measurements.

Starting with installing the spoiler first using the OEM risors, after careful eying of where they should be placed using pictures from some of the above installations, so far I've got some 5/16" round holes drilled in the trunk and the spoiler set down in place so that I know that this is relatively close to the proper position,

Attachment 206224

I know that some of the OEM holes are oval, which appears to be out of necessity due to the way the bolts set in place as you lower the whole spoiler down onto the trunk lid,
which I may have to widen these newly drilled holes to accommodate for the bolts so that there is no metal-to-metal contact between the bolts and circumferences of the holes. I don't want any popping noises or rust to form from dissimilar metal contact. These holes will of course get a coat of body paint before I'm done.

Then I installed the Drambeenie risors onto the spoiler and tried it that way. Now I'm just looking for measurements from anyone that has the Drambeenie risors on a '17+ model car with the factory-drilled holes. I'm needing measurements as seen in this picture here,

Attachment 206223

and as seen in this picture here,

Attachment 206222

This is just so that I know my installation is as close to factory specifications as possible.

One other thing, did anyone ever figure out how the two outer wings come apart so that I can remove them? In this picture here,

Attachment 206221

it certainly looks as though they are able to be disassembled. If I were to guess, there is an inner and an outer piece that snap onto the center piece and once they are removed, the two screws on the bottom of the spoiler and the two on the end must be removed to complete the removal procedure of the center piece. I'm planning on customizing the spoiler ends. Should I just start prying them off with some panel removal tools hoping that they don't break?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
The OEM wing endplates are glued on, from memory. I think the only way to remove them is destructive. I ended up removing the entire wing and plastidipping both sides of the endplate while still attached to the main wing. The matte black actually looks pretty seamless since the main wing section is also a semi-mate black.

Well, I've already committed to this install, I just need the measurements so that I can "massage" the holes into the proper shape and position. Thanks in advance.

Understood. Break them off, remove the center section from each end and get a special piece 3D printed and painted to reinstall. Shouldn't be too difficult. Thanks.

I'll try and make that work. I'm going to measure where I have them sitting right now using a dial caliper which will be more accurate, and I'll post those measurements later.

Thanks.

Might be better off trying to find a cad drawing for the stock trunk since they're meant to use stock holes

@ThatYeti

Alright, as I compare your tape measure pictures to mine at just about the same angle that you snapped your pictures,

it would appear as if I need to begin grinding out the forward stud hole towards the passenger side a little bit to result in about a half inch of movement from the forward "point" of the risor base in the direction of the trunk lid edge.

The rearward stud hole looks to be in the perfect position.

Here are the measurements that I took with my dial caliper,

I measure 2-19/64" from the forward "point" of the risor base to the edge of the trunk lid at a right angle,

and 55/64" from the rear "corner" of the risor base to the edge of the trunk lid right where the downward slope begins.

If you or anyone else can take the same measurements that I did using a dial caliper and post those measurements, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for helping me get this far.

Looks like a 7/16" difference between your forward measurement and mine, which I estimated pretty close using the tape measure at 1/2".

Thanks for your help.
