I never minded making them. I used to make patch cables in my spare time and give them to the other guys when I worked for the scale company. We usually replaced a few a week each and it was something to put on the time card. Same with serial cables with DB9 ends. Don't know how the other guys never caught on to make them in down time

yep. it's like woodworking to me. sort of calming in a way. that was why i offered to make as many as he wanted. i usually try to show new guy's how to make them, because it's something i've always found is extremely simple. the only 2 rules are really alternating white/solids, and remembering to split a pair.

of course most new guy's have neither picked it up, or stuck around either...

B code. That's what the rest of the house seems to have so I'm sticking with it. I'm wiring up a patch panel where my router is and changing my RJ11 jacks to RJ45.

It's like sorting and rolling coins. Very calming. Until you break something at least...

I figured as much. Did some research and saw no law in effect that mandated employers to hazard pay their employees.

That being said, one thing I really wish was an option for me was working from home; it's actually feasible in our company but upper management will not allow it for security reasons.

I love making sawdust. I probably should have been a cabinet maker.

It's one of my uncles hobbies. He's got a huge shop and a large portion is sectioned off for cabinet making.

I don't have a taste for working with dead tree carcass myself

in search of opinions on what to do for tires for a new set for daily 18x11

Option1. like new NT-01 for $650/set. $1200 new, 275/35 and 305/35 used for 1 track day, would not be well suited for daily duty. local fb marketplace

Option 2. Maxxis RC-1 slicks $60/set. 275/35 square track takeoffs, beat, but could be used for appropriate mockup while widebody is being fitted. poor/dangerous daily ability, 5hr drive each way to pickup fb marketplace. im leaning towards this because i really just want them for mockup to make sure the wheels are good to use on the over-fender setup and i dont have to get 18x9.5 fronts (which i may have to)

Option 3. New Achillies ATR2 $300/set. dont really want to go this route. 275/35/18

Option 4. New UHP's $700/set. indy 500's, and the like are around ~150-175 each in 275/35/18

Option 5. the shop thats doing the body install can get tires for me at a deal. but im not sure how much % off and i dont want to shoot myself in the foot because being ill prepared and wind up having to pay $800 for a set of nitto/yoko/toyo/brigestones etc when i can just get the slick takeoffs for 60/set for mockup, then decide about tires, after im positive about what size i need.
