my electrical contractors group has a school open house with assorted tool companies every year. when klein tools came out with a rj-45 crimper, the salesman literally waved it limply around, and then declared he HATES making them. i offered to do as many as he wants for as long as he wants for $15/hr. he gave me this face

That being said, one thing I really wish was an option for me was working from home; it's actually feasible in our company but upper management will not allow it for security reasons. |

I love making sawdust. I probably should have been a cabinet maker.

in search of opinions on what to do for tires for a new set for daily 18x11
Option1. like new NT-01 for $650/set. $1200 new, 275/35 and 305/35 used for 1 track day, would not be well suited for daily duty. local fb marketplace Option 2. Maxxis RC-1 slicks $60/set. 275/35 square track takeoffs, beat, but could be used for appropriate mockup while widebody is being fitted. poor/dangerous daily ability, 5hr drive each way to pickup fb marketplace. im leaning towards this because i really just want them for mockup to make sure the wheels are good to use on the over-fender setup and i dont have to get 18x9.5 fronts (which i may have to) Option 3. New Achillies ATR2 $300/set. dont really want to go this route. 275/35/18 Option 4. New UHP's $700/set. indy 500's, and the like are around ~150-175 each in 275/35/18 Option 5. the shop thats doing the body install can get tires for me at a deal. but im not sure how much % off and i dont want to shoot myself in the foot because being ill prepared and wind up having to pay $800 for a set of nitto/yoko/toyo/brigestones etc when i can just get the slick takeoffs for 60/set for mockup, then decide about tires, after im positive about what size i need. |
