There are a couple things that work together to doom these screws.

1. There's way too little tool area for the diameter of that clamping surface.
2. Black zinc coating practically welds itself to stuff. That's why it always lets go with a snap.

I get the drive for pick & place tools on the assembly line but this was a poor choice for a flange head.

I started by hand and stripped it and went to air tools and destroyed it. I was using the correct socket too. They're a terrible design. I replaced them with a hex head.

LOL does anyone need any good factory bolts? we have to have a few sets laying around by now. I've never seen these damaged if the right tool is used the first time and it's fully seated.

I impact the shit out of them too.. shrug.
