Thumbs up Anyone Playing Diablo 3 on Xbox360?

Just came out on Tuesday. I played the PC version when it came out and was able to quickly get my tank Barb to the point where I could beat Diablo on Inferno by myself with the help of buying gear on the auction house. Well they ditched the auction houses in the 360 version, so this will be a REAL challenge. I really like the way they ported it to the 360 controller as well. No more struggling to find a key on the keyboard. I am looking for some people to play with that aren't randoms on Xbox Live as the game is really best played in groups so you can share drops. I got my first two legendary drops yesterday, and I finished off Act 1 on Easy.

I dunno if i'm gonna pick it up for console. I've already got it for PC, and i don't enjoy it there, so I'm not so sure i'll enjoy it on console.

Why didn't you enjoy it? This version really gets back to Diablo's roots of loot based runs with good drops instead of having to buy all your equipment at big prices in the auction house to beat the game. At this point there have been so many updates to the game to level it out that it should be great. Did you play it solo or with buddies?

I tried both. I didn't like how linear the maps were (not random generation, like 1 and 2), and i didn't like how they didn't have actual skill trees.

edit: i've still got D2 on my battle.net account, so I think i'll stick with that.

I have never played it before but I'm thinking about picking it up, can you play co-op online?

Yep. You can actually do multi-player locally with up to 4 people or join random other people in groups up to 4 or invite your friends to play with you. There are tons of options, but the game is best played co-op versus solo which is why I am looking for people to play with other than randoms on Xbox Live.

For the record, Loot 2.0 and I think Paragon 2.0, which are what the console is built around, have been in the works for the PC for a long while and will be a free patch before Reaper of Souls.

Might want to give Reaper of Souls a chance when it's out. While there still isn't a skill tree, Paragon 2.0 will give the option of picking the stat bonuses as you hit new Paragon levels. If I heard correctly, as well, all RoS areas will be randomized.

I considered getting the Xbox version, but... I just keep playing PC and wait for patch day. Honestly the only downside to the console version, that I can tell, is that local co-op means shared drops. So it's lootninjablo all over again.

I played D2 on the PC almost daily for well over 6 years. I played D3 on the PC for about 1 hour before uninstalling it in disgust. That is all I can say about what Blizzard did to the game without going off on a rant.

I find it to actually be better. No scrambling because you can't find your potion button or your finger was on the wrong key and you wasted your Fury on the wrong skill. Give me a joystick and a trigger any day.

D3 was my first Diablo game. My buddy talked me into it as I loved Starcraft from Blizzard. I really enjoyed the game even with the poor drops and having to rely on the auction house. I will gladly listen to your rant though.

Beat it like 8 times on the PC a long time ago (and made about $40 in real cash selling gear). Definitely not interested in getting it again, ide give it a 3.5/5 anyway it was just meh. Definitely not as classic as 2 was.
