Not to rain on your parade but they will blow out. They will blow out aftermarket shocks too. Eibachs are too soft. It's a shame the aftermarket shock makers have to hand out free replacements when they have no control over what springs people pair them with.

I was actually talking about aftermarket shocks that could handle the springs long term. Maybe Bilstein B8's would work, but I'm not sure.

I'm on Bilstein B8's with sportlines for a little over 1k miles, more like north of 1.5k now. Absolutely love the combo for canyon and DD.

Can't speak for track yet as I haven't taken the setup to one yet.. waiting to do so before I give my review as I don't see many reviewing this particular setup, and I want to clear up some things about ride quality as a DD, performance, and whatnot

You got some hard pact data for this? Sportlines feature progressive spring rates. I haven't seen many blown stockers coming around here running sportlines, except for those who twist the seal while improperly disassembling or assembling struts during the install process...

Spring Rate Front:120 - 211 lbs/in | Spring Rate Rear:86 - 296 lbs/in

I'm having a hard time finding specs on the Bilstein B8s and Koni's.. anyone wanna chime in?

Seems to be a lot of variables that could cause stock shocks to blow out with aftermarket springs (drop height, quality of shocks, road conditions, driving habits, etc). I've owned cars that held up fine after years and others that have had shocks blow out after a week of driving.

That drop looks nice though. I will now usually either buy full COs or get a nice spring/shock combo.

RSR Super Downs with about as much drop as you will get on lowering springs. 100K and all four stock shocks still functioning as good as new. I have blown out coilovers in a third of that on previous cars. Unless I decide I want to be able to adjust for some reason I will never do COs again.

any modifications required to install those springs or do you just replace the OEM ones with them? Is the fitment with the OEM wheels okay?

Have to trim the bump stops but everything fits great. I didn't install them the dealer put them on the car for the showroom but they said they were a piece of cake. I REALLY like them.

On paper:
Front -25mm to -30mm (-1.0inch to -1.2inch)
Rear -30mm to -35mm (-1.2inch to -1.4inch

In reality:
Front 1.6
Rear 1.8
(as measured against a stock set up)

Lol holy crap that is a very large margin of error, hard to believe that the RSR eng specs would be that off.

Ya I was surprised. When first looking at the car I measured the height at the dealers before I knew what the paper specs were supposed to be. When I looked it up and saw them I measured again with the same result. That was why I talked to the tech that installed them because it seemed so far off. He assured me everything was done properly and since I have had no issues I have no reason to disbelieve him.
