Good luck.

...I went 4.56 with a MT, but sometimes I think I should have gone 4.88
That is not a part that Toyota USA sells, it is a Toyota part number.

Here is what I ordered for my install...

90311-38070 pinion seal $8.71 - the one included in the Toyota kit I used will not fit our housing...
90366-35133 pinion bearing $87.06 - not strictly necessary, but can can be damaged during removal from your old pinion shaft...
12157-10010 drain bolt gasket $1.08
SU003-00122 fill bolt gasket $1.79
90311-43009 quantity 2 differential axle seal($15.60 each)

Most differential shops stock the shims and oil - I was not picky on the oil since I changed it out after 500 mile break in. The toyota kit includes crush sleeve, new bolts, lock tabs...

Not trying to sell you on a Toyota kit; just adding info to the thread. I have heard nothing but good about the Weir stuff.

I pretty much ordered the same things, but did some through Lexus and some through Toyota (whichever was cheaper).. I was surprised that ANY of the lexus parts were cheaper for the same part number... but nonetheless they were! Really only difference between this and mine was that I used the Weir solid spacer kit and different fluid since I put in a mechanical LSD.

Spence Weir can be hard to reach, but he knows his stuff and sells a great product. He was very fair with me and took a lot of time to give me guidance, and I was so impressed with his knowledge that I actually shipped my differential from Illinois to him so he could install my OS Giken LSD and a Weir Performance 4.56:1 ring and pinion gear set. It’s a great set up and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you go that route.

I paid $300 to have the third member set up since I did not have the tools to do this. Note that I brought the third member to the differential shop so the $300 is just to clean, disassemble, install the gears and bearings, shim for proper wear pattern, set crush sleeve and preload, etc. Local rates will vary; this should be a good ballpark figure.

I removed/installed the third member myself, but I imagine a shop would charge another $200-$300 to do that.

How do you like the OS Giken?? I couldn't swallow the price at first so I went with MFactory and got the inner parts WPC treated. Did you have any chatter with the OS Giken?

Since it appears difficult to contact Weir Performance these days, do any of his happy customers know what brand gears he was selling? Weir Performance was not in the business of manufacturing gears; these days there really are not many manufacturers... For those that are looking for lower cost options than the Toyota kits (I paid about $400 vs about $200 for the third party sets).

My guess is that he was selling Yukon Gears, US Standard Gears, Richmond Gears, or possibly US Gears...

Does anyone who bought just gears from him remember what brand was on the box?

Are you sure about that?.. Pretty sure the only ones he doesn't make himself are the used ones..

"Final Drive Gears
We sell only high quality ring and pinion gear sets. All sets are CNC machined and lapped for quiet operation. Be aware of cheaper gear sets, they will not run as quiet or last as long as these gear sets will when properly installed."

Am I positive? No. Am I over 99% confident? Yes. No way he could have the machinery and produce these gears at low volume at that price. I see no claims that Weir Performance actually makes the gears...

Heads up! I have no connection and make no claims/recommendations on this...

Ebay has a listing for a New Weir Performance 4.56 gear set for FRS with bearings, seals, and solid spacer. Ends tomorrow and has a reserve; don't have any idea what it will sell for. If interested go to ebay and search "weir performance"

I was just trying to find a picture of a weir gear set to see if there were any identifying marks on it and ran across this.
