Any e85?

What's the difference between e85 and 91 gas? Ever since I got my car I been using 91 which is recommended, but recently I been hearing to use e85 that it makes a difference in a good way compare to 91, if there's a difference can you guys help out find a gas station in the area of La Puente, West Covina, El Monte or Arcadia? Thanks for the help guys!

You need a tune to run e85. You can search up e85 stations through google close to where you live.

Not the cheapest but definitely the best/cheapest. Especially for someone as noob as the poster appears to be. Well, that or a troll.

Much better to invest in an OFT tablet though. I bought one used and I still think it's the best purchase I made today. E85 + UEL header with no CEL is gonna be so much fun. And launch control is kinda cool too haha.

The best would be a proper FlexFuel setup with an ECUTek tune, so there's no map switching. Fill up and go. No worrying about running the tank to E as well.

That's why I qualified best/cheapest on the OFT. However, ecutek with flex fuel starts to approach $2000... OFT is $500...

I think before too long the open source world will catch up with ecutek with map switching and flex fuel.

Being an IT Director that runs a Linux based network you can know that I am all about open source.

For now in order of cheapest to best, it's tactrix, OFT, Ecutek.

Do we have to get the launch control from the laptop or is it already there in the tablet itself?

Being a Senior Systems Engineer that runs a BSD based network, I would think that you should know that it's about using the right tool for the job. Unless you cut corners in your infrastructure. I don't.

ECUTek is worth every penny. Let's be realistic here, you shouldn't be going cheap when it comes to something as important as tuning your car's ECU. That's like running RAID0 on a production MySQL server.

it's more like running raid 0, AND 1 instead of raid 5....

Jaden

ECUTek may very well be worth the money, but I don't like the idea of being locked out of anything I work on.

Nor of paying for something I can't resell if I so choose.
