nevermind the throttle was at 0.00 so i am assumming the afr is perfectly ok for a universal base map. I wonder if a remote tune from shiv would make much difference.

I think most OTS maps are made rich to be on the safe side...a custom tune would most likely just lean it out a bit in places to get more power. Just my guess.

I would not be worrying about any tune, if my car was leaking/burning coolant. Tunes don't work on engines that went KABOOM.

So you're really short or do the "laid back" driving style and your foot kept slipping off the throttle?

Better use a cooling system pressure tester.

You do not even need to buy one. Most the parts stores will rent one to you. You can pressure check the system in a matter of a few minutes. Bear in mind that if the leak is internal then you will not see or hear the leak. In that case, it could be a head gasket, cracked head or cracked block. Some engines have water passages in the intake manifold or plenum with o rings or gaskets to seal them but I do not think the FA20 does. Good luck, I hope it does not turn out to be too serious and whatever it is is covered by the warranty.

Did you take it to the dealer with an aftermarket tune loaded?

I did but that is because i forgot to remove it. They didn't say anything. Everything came back OK and they added some coolant, changed the tailight gaskets, and did a underside repair in the trunk for rattling but now i hear this ticking sound so i will take it back and ask them to repair the topside.
