Do you have forced induction? In stock form our car doesn't have much torque so if you're spinning the tires too much then ease off the gas when launching. What RPM are you launching at?

So your ECU is flashed to have launch control capabilities? 5500RPM is pretty high which is why your tires are just spinning. Turn off all the nannies and try launching somewhere between 2.5k-4k RPM and see what works best for you.

When I was at sac raceway the most I could launch from without spinning the tires was about 2000-2500 rpm any more than that and it would break loose

Hello all, my name is Lance and I am new to the forum. I have a silver FR-S arriving Friday, replacing an aging Civic. Anyway, just thought I would say hello and am hoping to be able to pick all of your brains on what I should be on the lookout for parts wise. Thanks for putting on a great forum.

Thank you Pwolf and Finch for the warm welcome. I will be sure to check out that calendar and do my best to make it to some of the meets. I am not sure if anyone is interested, but we have a get together every other Friday night in Auburn right off the freeway for auto enthusiasts. We have imports, domestics, rock crawlers...kind of a run what you brung situation. If anyone wants details, hit me up.

Hello all, I just found out I'm going to be moving to your area in a couple of months. Got to admit, I'm really excited about it! Lots of good roads for my FR-S to stretch her legs on from what I can see on the map. Going to take some time to browse the NorCal section and see what's up, but already I can tell I'm going to love it out there. Looking forward to meeting some of you this summer!

BTW, I've had my FR-S since June of 2012. Still stock on the drivetrain. Dropped 1" on Eibach springs and XXR 18" wheels. Red Rally Armor Mud Flaps. Several custom DIY mods as well.
