Weird electrical issues. Need help!

So my car is heavily modified but the only things I've touched electrical are replacing my tail lights with Tom's and put in a sound system (speakers, amp, subwoofer). For a long time (I can't seem to remember when it started) I've had no working cruise control. The light comes on but doesn't work. Also one day I noticed my fogs and running lights were out. Checked fuses and everything seemed fine. The big issue though is my blinkers. It happened once a few months ago and then it fixed itself almost instantly and never reared it's head again. The issue is the right blinker will just stay on, not even blink. It stays on and I can't get it to go off. Can't get the left blinker to work. Emergency lights do nothing. Just solid arrow and outside both the front and back lights are just solid on. Even more annoying is they won't even turn off I turn off the car. The past couple days this has been happening constantly and the duration has been anywhere from one minute to thirty. On a side note, the left blinker is louder than the right. Also the left rear blinker is brighter than the right.

So I'm worried since my car is heavily modified I will pay out the ass at the dealership to go through the whole electrical system so I'd really appreciate some things I can try before I burn my money.

Did you check all of the fuses ..... the ones under the hood and the fuse block under the dash .. ??

After checking the fuses, I'd check the tail lights next .... good connections? ..... good grounds? ..... bulbs not burn't out .. ??

I hope you get er fixed ....

I checked all fuses related to each of the things not working (that I could find). I can deal with no fogs but the hazards fuse is fine and having a turn signal stay lit at all times is unmanageable. Any suggestions besides going to the dealer? I think I'm going to see if the people who did the sound system can check there wiring but I doubt it's related.

Do you still have the stock tails? Swapping those back in would rule out a lot of troubleshooting if your blinkers, etc start working again.

Not sure if it's related or not too your particular situation, but I had similar issues with one side of car lighting up and HIDS blinking etc. Turned out to be a F**CKED stock battery

Good Luck

Flasher module that came with Toms lights? Try swapping a new one.

Figured out the issues. I had my steering wheel replaced by Subaru awhile back and when they rehoused the steering column they didn't plug in everything all the way. At least this appears to have fixed the problem. Thanks for the ideas guys.

Edit: Didn't fix it. But did make it go away for a day which is weird.

It might be ECM(Electrical Control Module) unit is damaged? if it got damaged, this has to be changed and this costs a lot! I don't know you can uninstall modded parts and drive to dealer for warranty but i would try. otherwise, it would cost around $600 - $1000 only for parts i believe.

Yup appears the problem is back. Removing all my mods would cost me a crazy amount of money. I'm taking it to Subaru tomorrow and hopefully they'll find the problem has nothing to do with anything I've done to the car. What a stupid problem to spend so much money fixing.

Edit: Going to change the relay on the Tom's Taillights. See if that's causing this issue before I let Subaru destroy my wallet.

Don't forget the OEM flasher wont work with the TOMs lights you may want to swap the oem tails back as well when you do it to just to rule it out.

I just had Tom's USA send me a new module (relay) because my left blinker (front indicator, rear taillight and indicator in dash) is getting stuck, go figure.

I'll report back once I put it in to see if that works.

FWIW, the new relay I just got came from Buddy Club apparently.

Did this work? My left side blinker is on solid and I can not turn it off even when the car is off. Seems to be stuck in position. I do have TOM's and I have the corresponding fuse.

Thanks

Did you ever think to check and see if your "mods" were wired correctly?
