In regards to?

What belt are you running? I'm currently using the upgraded Gates belt.

What belt are you running? Do you have a mechanical gauge, or are you using the torque app? I know sometimes the torque app falls out of calibration. I've had times when it read I was boosting 2 psi max. I restarted the android OS and later read 9psi. I'm on the 3.48 pulley.

Also, just check you hoses.

I just experienced a belt rupture with my Vortech. Well not exactly a rupture in a way that I get a belt with an end and a beginning, but more like a rupture in a way that it has been "cut" into two pieces along the circumfence (if you know what I mean). So to say I now have two belts...

This happend just 5000km after the V-2 has been installed with the 3.125" pulley.
I am wondering if the extra heat by the shared oil with the engine caused a belt failure or of maybe one of my pulleys was not perfectly aligned. Nevertheless I will get the 2.87 pulley installed this wednesday and I already have a Gates HD belt ready for installation.

Do you guys know any alternative for the gates belts? I am looking for a reinforced or extra strong one in particular which is compatible with the 2.87" pulley!

I had the same thing happen to me. With mines, my belt somehow jumped the rib edge of the AC compressor pulley and sheared in half. Since I replaces the belt, I haven't seen that problem since. I believe the belt was not aligned on one of the idler pulleys properly causing it to slowly make its way out of alignment on the AC compressor.

I have a gates belt and its the right one, I have everything clamped, The boost is being read from the datalogs I am running with OFT. I am also getting the P0451 error code. If thats not related than maybe my bypass valve is letting out too much air? or, the checkvalve isn't working right??? any advice is appreciated.
also i have a catless exhaust system do you think the lack of back pressure would cause a low boost?

Can anyone with this kit verify how much vacuum at idle is normal? I am logging with an OFT and only seeing 9 inches roughly.

I'll let you know this afternoon, I'm thinking like 20 on cold startup, then like 10-15. That's on an autometer mechanical vacuum/boost gauge and I think obd2/dash command was saying about the same.

Update:

So the gauge was reading about 20 at idle after warm up and the obd2 was reading about half that. So I'd say the digital readout isn't that accurate.

How many miles have you guys clocked on your kits? I found a pretty good deal on one from someone local but it has about 25k miles on it. Owner only put it through 2 track days and the rest were from DD'ing. Has anybody developed problems with that kind of mileage?

Only a few thousand on mine personally, but as long as they did the fluid changes as they should, it should be good to go.

36K km, except one belt change. Belt was OEM and has been replaced with a quality one. No tracking, only German autobahn and country roads. ;-)
