Halo White GR86 Thread

I'll get this started, I'm sure there are plenty that can contribute better than mine. I love seeing these cars in the real world.

I love the idea of it. I haven’t seen Halo in person and I can’t see why it’s a $425 up charge from the pictures. The idea of it has been my #1 color choice but it’s really hard to buy site unseen. Like the track B-red color in some images and videos you can see a little orange and red depending on the angle. But Halo is just a mystery to me until I see it in person. Right now I’m locked into Steel.

I hear you. Halo White has some pearl and metallic flake to it that only comes out at certain angles and lighting. I'm FAR from a good photographer (see above pics ) but I'm sure others have caught it. It's getting ceramic coated this week, which should make it pop even more, so I'll try to get pictures after that to show the detail of the paint.

Edit: here's a pic that I took the day I got it. I kinda shows the pearl.

It looks absolutely gorgeous man! You won't see the flakes unless on direct sunlight. My 2013 FRS whiteout pearl was the same (I think that's what it's called).

I was actually sold on a Halo 86 at one point in the past. Its not a particularly interesting colour (because white in general isnt an interesting colour) until you get up close and you see the flake sparkle in front of you just like Halogr86's picture shows, and yes you do see the pink and turquoise sparkle within.

Had this same problem but with BRZ's, ultimately went with and waiting on a Crystal White Pearl. Both colors are absolutely gorgeous on the twins.
