Not finding any reviews for this. Is the extra cost worth it over a CSF or Mishimoto?

Thanks!

I've had one of the first samples of this on my car for about 4 years and its been great. Previously I had a CBR radiator and needed to use a lower temp thermostat to keep temps in check during track sessions. Eventually I had a leak in that one and upgraded to the Verus. After the upgrade I had to swap back to a factory thermostat due to low coolant temps. Factory ecu will give a CEL if coolant temps don't come up quickly enough.

Depends on your use case. For a street car upgrading to this probably doesn't make much sense. But for a car that sees track time and high temperatures its worth it. IMO this isn't a comparable product to the two you mentioned and the pricing reflects that. The Verus unit is made from high end motorsports grade components, like the Denso high density core, while the others are not. If you want a no compromises high end radiator this is the one.

It's done a great job on my turbo setup and will soon find out how it if it has enough cooling capacity for a built LS3. I don't expect it will have any problem keeping up.

CSF and Verus are the only two replacement radiators I'd ever recommend. Shitimoto should not be considered. Their fan shroud is known to cause overheating. Stick with stock unless you NEED an upgraded rad.

I went with Verus because they're the best, and Clay gives the best handshakes. Eric also sends muscle pix. Their customer service is top notch.

Like the guys above said, the two units aren't really comparable in my opinion either. The radiator we designed and build is a no-compromise, the best of the best in a factory-fit radiator, unit. We have had multiple guys have overheating issues with turbochargers or superchargers or V8 swaps, come to our radiator, and ours work well for their setup.

I hope that helps some.

Mine has one, kept coolant temp in check with a Harrop setup and 100f+ ambient on track. Load should be a bit lighter now, but it is a nice piece.

Would this benefit me as someone who lives in the Vegas valley? I am currently on a stock engine soone to be K-swapped, I also have a oil to water cooler. In the heat of the day any acceleration will increase coolant temperatures. Daily and track driven.

Or would something like a Koyorad be more in line with my needs?

Oh I agree, and have supported them by buying other products.

I just want a radiator that fits my needs, I do not want to over cool the engine.

That is an impossible question to answer, honestly. The Koyorad may be enough, or one of our radiators may be necessary. It's really difficult to say.

I will say our radiator uses the same cores that are used in F1, IndyCar, Rally, etc. The core we specify is the best of the best, made right here in Indianapolis by PWR/C&R.

I really know it shouldn't irk me, but why coat your (excellent) product in a layer of parochial over reach?

There is absolutely no shame in saying its based on, or is, an imported PWR radiator /core made by PWR, at PWR.

Part of the pleasure in something like a PWR product is that it is actually truly made in the same factory as an F1 radiator.

PWR still says it makes all its radiators/cores, including the F1, WRC, Indy etc etc stuff, at its HQ.

I've been with Kees Weel a few times in his HQ, even been allowed to handle 2 or 3 of the F1 teams different radiators .... and some of the even more amazing/hard to even fathom military cooling modules.

Hearing him explain a couple of years ago how (at the time) F1 teams wanted to achieve an additional weight saving of less than 100grams per radiator, and in doing so were willing to go from using 2 x $80000 radiators per car over two race weekends (then shipped back to be fully rebuilt) to 2 x $120000 radiators per car per single race weekend...was a sobering lesson in engineering extremes.
