got an email from IRP stating that once they have a 100% guarantee fix, they will be shipping some kind of "plate" as they call it to the place that sells their products. As for now, they are working on it and have attributed the rattling strictly to a faulty gearbox in which the shifter merely resonates the sound. A big pitch fork I guess? When I hear more, I will update.

Been liking mine, but not in love with it. Just ordered the STI shifter to try out. Will be selling the IRP if I like the STI more. I'll need to get the large rubber boot that surrounds the shifter base and separates the cabin from the under car area since I used it for this install. Let me know if you have one and want to get rid of it.

I just installed the IRP to use with a custom dog box that I had built for racing. What an amazing combination! Totally changed the shifting action of the car. I love this IRP shifter.

As for the dog box, I'll be posting about it shortly. If you're racing...it is amazing.

you dont need to take the button out, push in the button all the way and put some grease on the walls with your finger then let the button go. Do that a couple times with just a small amount of grease so a thin layer ends up in there and wipe off any excess from the top. Moving the button in and out should work the grease down into it to make sure it gets in the working parts.

Awesome ! Thank you much ! I'll give this a shot. Hopefully it's not a cable issue. in the event it is a cable adjustment, how can this be done? I read through the threads, but I'm a little confused.

this is the same problem I am having. found this on youtube. sometimes mine doesn't even come up unless I push up on the round piece under the knob to help it go up.
