Give yourself a whole weekend. If we exchange contact info, I can help zoom and/or text you through all the steps.

As Ultra said, give yourself plenty of time. Take pictures, give yourself a good amount of space to work. Lay out a piece of cardboard and label it and poke the bolts through to keep track of them. Look up torque specs ahead of time and write them down. If you can get help I recommend it when removing/reinstalling the transmission. It's not particularly heavy or difficult to stab in, it will just ease any potential frustration.

I plan on printing out a schematic of the transmission so that I can write the torque specs. Just have to find them. I think someone here has techstream linked to their bio-quote.

Using ol @Ultramaroon 's "lift kit", don't forget to lift up the front of the engine when replacing the transmission.

Ultra will explain.

Well, OK, you asked for it. I suggest you call and make an appointment at a local transmission shop. Take in the parts you bought and have the shop fix your car's transmission. Pay them and drive it home. See how easy that is -

Trust me - I've done it both ways -

No luck so far. Its odd, its almost like it is staring at me right in the face. Trying to remember where I saw a link to service manuals.

Haven't taken the transmission out yet, but was watching a video and they replaced it. I don't suspect it to be damaged but I'm wondering if its something recommended whenever replacing the TOB.

Unless the TOB chewed it up, I suspect there's no gain to be had by changing it out.
