Injectors installation

Is it me or is there absolutely no information on how to install injectors on our car?

Is it just really simple so no one is making a guide? I've looked all over for it!

Here is my simple guide:

Passenger Side:

1. Unbolt injector driver ECU
2. Unbolt metal sound deadening cover
3. Unbolt fuel rail
4. Unclip injectors
5. Remove injectors
6. Install new injectors
7. Bolt fuel rail back down (depending on injectors, might require spacer as well)
8. Clip in injectors (depending on injectors, might require wiring adapters)
9. Reverse of removal

Driver Side:

1. Disconnect both fuel lines with a fuel line removal tool (will be smallest one available at local parts store and is a plastic tool that goes in the end of the fuel line)
2. Disconnect the fuel vent hose which is held on with a standard clip
3. Unbolt metal sound deadening cover
4. Unbolt fuel rail
5. Unclip injectors
6. Remove injectors
7. Install new injectors
8. Bolt fuel rail back down (depending on injectors, might require spacer as well)
9. Clip in injectors (depending on injectors, might require wiring adapters)
10. Reverse of removal

Direct injectors will require a special tool

It will require a special tool to replace seal.
Why would u replace DI?
The only ones to replace are Port with bigger injectors

Watch out when you reinstall the injectors & their power connector.

My problem was that one of the power connectors was rubbing on the side so it short circuited and the car wouldn't start.

Also the direct injectors have 3 different part numbers based on their stratified flow number. So they need to be removed for inspection before ordering and replacing which makes it a total bitch when their is a 30-60 day lead time to get parts

I asked this on the DT flex fuel thread but thought I would put the question here as well:

Need some advice here: I'm installing the DW700cc injectors along with my DT flex fuel kit. I upgraded to the fuel injector adapters that connect between the DW injectors and OEM connectors. But now I can't fit the drivers side metal cover over the injectors because the adapters are in the way. Is it okay to leave the the metal cover off? Should I trim the metal cover (which would be a bitch I imagine)? Or have I angled the injectors incorrectly. I feel like I tried every combo. The passenger side metal cover was a tight fit but I managed.
