Cleaning animal blood off front bumper? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

My current commute is a 100 miles round trip. It is going to be that long for another month. The way to my job is kind of through the country. There is roadkill plastered on the road more often than not.

I have never hit a animal or intentionally driven over one. I make sure to avoid them as I am a very cautious driver. But, two times in a week there has been animal blood on my bumper. It is a brand new 16' limited. I'm taking care of it.

I don't want to touch it and I am pretty squeamish so it's abit difficult.If I am honest. The first time I took a car wash pressure washer to it. Never gone through an automatic wash..don't want to.

What is the best way to take care of this?

I'd say keep doing what you are doing, using that pressure washer.

If it gets the job done, it gets the job done.

Yes, just keep blowing water at it and the "animal" blood will eventually soften up and come off.

I'm not sure if it will do anything to the paint. Not a problem I've encountered before.

It won't hurt you man. Just use any sort of paint cleaner Bug/tar remover with a microfiber and it will come off. You can get it at any auto parts store or walmart, etc. Don't worry, you won't get any diseases or HIV.

In Oregon, this is very common. I use a wash mit, and warm soapy water. Which is how I wash my car. Do you have access to compressed air? Detailing the outside with it helps me. Just don't use it near any plastidip parts. Lol

I thought of that. If it's safe on carpet, then chances are it will be ok. It's more than tar removal.

I always keep some on hand just because we have dogs and they are transported in my wife's QX56. I've used it several times for blood stains and it just lifts it away without bleaching. Our last vet always trimmed our dog's nails to short...
