So, did you ever work one of these?

I remember my job was to pull the saw back, then push the handle towards the tree, as my dad did the cutting by pulling.

Princess is going nuts with the workers in the back. It has been really hard to socialize a puppy with the lockdown.

Nope. Always had chainsaws. I've taken out small trees, but big ones next to the house, no.

Oh, yes, we had a powered buz saw. I hated that thing! Note all of the safety shields -

I had the easy job, sitting on the tractor and pushing in on the clutch for the PTO when something went wrong (like the belt slipping off or a kickback).

A kickback usually threw the belt off and if we were lucky, no one got hit with the belt -

And yes, it was cold and usually snowing, because we cut wood in the winter -
