Awesome, can anyone else confirm if their other car (toyota/scion/subaru) tow hook fits? There are cheaper versions made for other cars that look like the super expensive cusco ones.

Just called my local toyota parts dept. They said the 05-08 TC and the FRS have the same tow hook thread. Their tow hooks are even similar in dimensions. So it should work.

Ya i just found out today.... not happy. Toyota of Concord CA lied to me. I will not do business with them because they were too lazy to verify if the tow hooks on the TC and the FRS were the same and just told me they were. Should have known. lol

Back to the search for another car that shares the same tow hook threads or just accept defeat and buy the cusco.

Yeah I'm kinda pissed I wasted $25 on a tow hook i can't even use and the company won't even let me only buy the right thread for a brz.

Still trying to figure it out. BRZ/FRS has a weird tow hook size. it's like 12mm when all others are like 24 or 22 mm.

The tow hooks are "standard" Subaru. You can get used ones on ebay for under $10.

I've verified this by using my extra hooks from the STi.

Good luck finding it. It's M16x1.75. The only thing I've found with that thread pitch is a 1m threaded from Fastenal for $70.
