any of your running TRD or RCE springs had to replace dampers as well? is it recommended?

I had TRD Springs on a 2016 FR-S. They ate up several rear shocks within 30K miles. Not sure if it was spring rate or pot holes or improper installation or maybe a combination of all three.

I know other peeps have gone well longer than that with no issues.

Considering how my stock 2013 rear shocks weeped a bit of oil by 30k without any lowering whatsoever, i could easily see that. Doesnt mean they were toast, but obviously past their prime.

RCE Yellow spring rates are very closely matched to what the front and rear dampers want. They should perform better.

I didn't love TRD springs on oe dampers.
Just switched to Sachs dampers and I do love them now.
