With the type-R knob, you'd have to raise the knob height because the reverse lockout bore is inside part of that Type-R knob shape. So to maintain that classic shape, you'd have to have the Type-R profile and then have a boss that fits inside the reverse lockout. For those that don't want a taller knob, it's not ideal.

Scored myself that last remaining delrin knob. Gives a nice subtle change to the cabin and feels great in the hand. I had a very similarly shaped Cobb knob in a previous vehicle and this feels exactly the same.

Since my hopes for a "type R" shaped knob probably won't come to be from what we've heard in this thread, one like this may be my only choice. I'm not real happy with the feel of the OEM knob.
