I must have missed that part. I ran through the entire thread quick at a time, but i don't remember that part. Still wondering if this is the best option or just trading in on a new mustang gt lol.

I personally cant answer to that as I'm the Alpha/prototype customer for this kit, hopefully Jason might pipe in as he checks this thread out from time to time.

Just went through the entire vorshlag build thread on their site and am more excited then before. It would probably be a few years before I could afford something like this, but it completely takes all of my fears away about blowing up built turbo motors, breaking trannies, etc...

I see from the photos you changed the clutch master cylinder recently.
Stock one not good enough? What did you change to?

In the video it says they recently installed a new one but will be switching it again. I'd say they're hunting for the perfect feel/travel.

I quite like how at steady throttle it sounds relatively calm and quiet but when it is given some throttle it sounds like an angry typhoon is trying to escape.

Let me know if they have issues with the CANBUS part. I don't believe Terry when he says they have an engineer coming to look at it. I can tell you exactly what the car needs done for a "proper" solution to the CANBUS integration. Don't let Terry blow smoke up your ass.

I've wanted to mention you Acree, since the beginning of the thread.
But I didn't want to impose/interfere.

Well, thanks for the trust.

We have had two professionals, that sound just like you, look at it and bail.

Now I'm doing the programming myself. And it's not rocket science (which was my previous job).

On edit: I still think it's pretty pompous of you to pronounce this is something that nobody but you can do when you don't even know the real issues we face, but if you have a solution I'm sure Terry would be interested in hearing about it and weighing it against our own. He's willing to pay the right person if they have a more elegant solution. But be warned, we've already had two cocksure programmers start into the problems and then admit it was beyond them.

Again, call Terry if you think you have a good solution. And know what you want to be paid.

Which insurmountable programming mountain did those hot-shot software engineers die on? What was the problem? To a person just starting to look into it, it doesn't seem that complicated...

Cause for concern is, was it the complexity of the Toyobaru CAN or the complexity of translating to an OEM Chevy ECU? i.e. for those of us looking at standalone engine management, is there some nasty surprise lurking in the Toyobaru CAN, or is it just getting the square peg of a proprietary system to fit in the round hole of somebody else's equally proprietary system? Forgiving the Sh*tty metaphor...s...

I was going to ask why the steering wasn't working in the video, because I thought it only needed CAN data from the ABS/VSC ECU but I see it's because it needs crank pos. sensor signal from the ECM to function.
