This is always the question. Sometimes saving time is better than saving money

Can no one of here take an effing joke? Everyone gets so damn sensitive so fricking fast. I was just giving him/her shit. Of course it takes people time to learn and they likely will make mistakes in the process. This goes for almost anything. As for me, I did come out of the womb double clutching like I should, for your information.

I would say you should never leave your foot on the clutch after you shift, unless you are 100% sure that you aren't riding it.

Ask any racer. Weather he wins by an inch or a mile, Winning's winning.

I feel your pain!So many seem to to read everything with an angry tone and can't tell an obvious joke if it slaps them in the face!!
They coincidently also seem to be the ones that most often say the forum "sucks" and are very ready to give an obnoxious lecture on how everybody should be nice (except them of course), stay on topic and always, always agree with them!

Unscrew the drain plug, let the oil run out onto and into the gravel driveway .... hey, we sprayed oil on the gravel driveways to keep down the dust anyway....

Open up 4 quarts of oil (30 weight for summer; 20 weight for winter).

Screw the drain plug back in (no need to replace the washer, they lasted for many, many oil changes).

Pour in new oil, no need for a funnel, the filler opening was high up on the engine.

What about the oil filter ??..... there was no oil filter .....

I'm not saying this is the case with out cars/clutch but this seemed to be the case on my old cobalt ss sc. It was relatively well accepted that the clutch would slip under those circumstances. I can find the forum post on it if you have any interest.
