Yeah. Maybe we can plan in advance for next time. Really looking forward to the car meetups.

So yesterday, I attended the SCCA Starting Line school. In addition to me, there was a Silver BRZ and a Silver FRS there. Anyone here?

I personally had a blast. I actually learned a lot about driving in AutoX and car control in general. I feel it was well worth the cost. We got 12 runs of the course they setup in the afternoon. During one of them, I lost the backend, turned it into a huge drift and managed to recover without hitting any cones. According to my instructor, who was waiting at the end, he said that everyone heard it and looked over expecting to see me take out an entire wall of cones.

Just 12 runs during what used to be Evo Phase I, jeez.

Phase 1 and Starting line are COMPLETELY different curriculum. Phase 1 and Phase 2 were both offered on Sunday.

Memorial Day event today was a BLAST. The courses were essentially the phase 1 and phase 2 courses connected with a few alterations for breaking up concrete, the result was a very fast course that had a few technical spots, but was a lot of fun. Sean and I were trading 1/10ths between each other all 4 runs.

Took a trip to the west side of the state this weekend.
It was the first time the FR-S has seen notable freeway time and also the first time it's been driven for more than an hour in the hot sunshine.

It's very hard not to bury your foot when there is a long straight open road ahead of you - somewhat of a miracle I have no tickets.

Tramlining is really annoying

If your shift knob gets very warm, it may spin when you try and make a quick shift from 1st to 2nd causing you to lose your grip. Ended up floating in neutral for a second while my brain caught up with what had happened. Going to have to do something about that because I'm not letting it happen again.

I paid via Evo for phase1 last year. The event itself was identical regardless of how one paid (SCCA Startingline peeps just got some goods bundled into their payment) and a complete ripoff. From what I've heard, it was about the same this year, which is sad.

Have you provided feedback to Mike and Heyward? That's surprising to me, I'm quite certain the Detroit school was not done that way this year at all.

I was next to a black BRZ with a "FLAT IV" plate going south on Woodward during my commute home in the monsoon today. Looked like a middle aged gentleman driving. I was in the beater silver WRX.

I keep seeing a LR BRZ in the BHam/Royal Oak area- looks just like mine. I first spotted parked in front of Crispelli's a couple weeks ago and started walking towards it until I remembered I parked in a different spot. Anyone here?

Also, spotted a white BRZ with a pretty, young woman getting into it in downtown Traverse City over the week. Hollllllllla.

Hey guys, I finally got my new frs on monday!

I bought a used base 2013 (nothing fancy, 18K miles, just under 21K) from Pittsburgh, PA, which was about 4 hours away (when crusing at 80+ mph). It wasn't too bad of a drive, mainly because it let me get used to the car again since it's been about two months since I've driving a RWD.

I will post up some pictures later tonight (since I'm at work). Went with the ultramarine, this time (asphalt last time).

REALLY hope no one pulls out in front of this one. Dealing with insurance is a pain in the ass, and I really hate buying cars.
Not sure if I'll buy another one if something happens again..
Nah, just kidding. No way I wouldn't drive this beauty, lololol

Saw a Red FRS on Grand River Avenue/Orchard Lake Road intersection at around 4:00 pm yesterday, waved to him too. I was driving the WRB BRZ with gold wheels. Anyone here?

Also, saw a white BRZ parked at Total Soccer, Novi last night at around 9:30 pm. Soccer! Anyone from here?

I'm at 8 and Merriman. I don't go south of 6mile much so I likely haven't seen you if you're south of there. I drive a Galaxy Blue BRZ. Currently on stock wheels while I get my other wheels repaired.
