More info is always awesome. Good stuff for chiming in as dp1 really needed it since he came across as a confused individual. One minute this, one minute that. I could pick heaps of holes in what he had posted but wasn't my place to do so.

By the way, I did the Vinny ten reference.
I honestly feel that people with modded cars need to understand what is going on rather than I pay this, give me that and simply point fingers when it isn't so.
There is so much more to it.

Other than that, let's carry on in a civilised manner as we have been so far.

I was very confused, and still am to a good extent. Had two different cars before with many upgrades but done over longer periods of time and with hardly any issues. Doubt that I will engage in another big build after this experience. However, my car is sorted out now and I thoroughly enjoy driving it on the street and track.

Just out of curiosity, why exactly did dp1's comments get removed?

I removed them, to lessen the chance that their businesses get hurt long-term. It's up to them if they want to leave the rest as is. Hope they learned from this experience, I did.

I'm glad "discussions" like these go down from time to time at any rate. I've been looking into going FI but it's experiences like these that keep making me put my $10k+ back in my wallet.

I think these threads help everyone in the long run. Rest assured that I am very happy to now have a pretty big build almost completed (two actually, because of the accident), with OS Giken LSD going in on Wednesday, the last planned upgrade.

I am fortunate to be able to afford a few thousand dollars extra on mishaps. Wish I didn't have to pick up as much of that cost as I did.

Quite a lot of what @Prime Motoring did was not so good, everything so far that @moto-mike did has been good, and I have an awesome car that I enjoy...much more than when the car was stock.

You should have left them all as they were.

Why? I don't expect any refunds and there is nothing else for me to gain from leaving them in place. I wouldn't have given them my business if I had seen what remains when I did my research. And I will remove this too if they decide to change their approach.

Leaving it there will show people your exchange and the confusion.
I just don't like people deleting info as it can definitely skew people's perception.

I get it but they quoted my posts and email/text exchanges in their replies...that's enough information IMO
