The right opportunity came along...

First, I'd like to point out that I normally hate to make this sort of thread, but I wanted to take a bit of time to thank everyone for their insight over the last year or so that I've been a lurker and a member of FT86 club.

As the title states, the right opportunity came along and I very painfully opted to trade out of my FR-S at no loss and picked up a new Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-spec.

I don't intend to justify or argue about why or how I ended up making that choice (partially a financial decision), but I do want to make a note regarding the fact that I loved every minute that I proudly owned my Raven Black Scion FR-S.

If you have any doubts regarding the purchase of an FR-S, believe me when I say that it is truly an incredible car, and if you can learn to appreciate it for what it is, there is no better sports car out there. The FR-S delivers on everything it promises, that is something I will never forget.

R.S.

It's your money and your life so you can make your own decisions. I've barely had my FR-S a month and I'm already loving every moment of it. Congrats on the new car and I hope you enjoy it as much as you did your FR-S!

I pity people who don't have fun driving. As long as what you drive is fun than enjoy it!

Well, @R.S-HawK ..... sorry to see you go.

I've always enjoyed your posts.

I don't understand the "(partially a financial decision)" part of it .... but that's none of my business.

Enjoy that new machine .....

Trading in a year old car for a brand new car for financial reasons?

I do like the 3.8 Gen Coupes though, hope you enjoy it!

Now I'm curious about the deal you got. I like the 3.8 Gen Coupes, almost bought one but didn't like how "detached" from the road it felt. But heck on a bump in HP with the trade. Hope you enjoy

I wanted a 3.8 GC myself.
Test drove it but it was too big and heavy for my taste.
Not a bad car at all if you want more power and still need a back seat though!

Not on the R-spec!

e: That's only a small complaint unless you do tons of highway driving. Plus, if you get desperate you can have it installed for under $500 or so by a reputable shop.

I like the engine sound on the 3.8 R-Spec. Reminds me a bit of Nissan's VQ35. I bet the power is nice too, congrats!
