You can jack the car up by the rear diff. It's made to handle the weight of the vehicle.

Curious if you saw any mpg gain from this? Or have you experienced any thing that you were or weren't expecting after putting the jap panels on? I'd image you're not getting either; but curious still the same! Great write-up BTW!

Shipping is expensive, so the group buy is really to split that up amongst 4 or more people.

Also, there's plenty of pictures of our car without these panels, but ill throw up a before shot in the beginning.
you can order in Europe (Germany or UK) as our EDM grade mounts them for stock. For us are ordinary spare parts.
Maybe lower shipping from UK.
In Germany www.teile-profis.de is a very good online shop. To order you need GT86 or BRZ spare part number (Scion FR-S coding isn't included)

So I got mine on this morning. Pictures from the back of the car if anyone is intrested.

Before:

After:

Took a little less than an hour for me to get them on including getting the car up on stands and off stands. Those stupid four plugs on each side taking up the majority of the time.

Okay, so I crunched the MPG numbers tonight

The car trip/mpg were reset at EVERY fill up.

I installed the underbody panels and new wheels/tires in the same week, so unfortunately this is not completely reflective of underbody panels only.

Also, keep in mind that the car was purchased brand new, so MPG going up could also be attributed to break in.

I almost(of all 32 fill ups, I've used the same pump/station 25 times) fill at the same station and pump.

Reported MPG is what the car says on the dash, Actual is my trip meter divided by how many gallons were put in.

Wheels and tires are Yoshihara DY-12C(21lbs-I weighed them myself) and Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tires(245/40/18)-no weight, sorry.

12 Fill ups BEFORE underbody panels/wheels and tires:
Reported by car: 30.24 MPG
Actual: 29.16 MPG

20 Fill ups AFTER underbody panels/wheels and tires:
Reported by car: 29.87 MPG
Actual: 30.08 MPG

Average of all 32 fill ups is 29.73 MPG(actual)

So, since the underbody panel install and wheels/tires, my MPG has INCREASED.

Perfect, thank you! I doubt I'll get around to this in the near future, unfortunately.

BTW, Looks like 18 clips are needed, and some may be reused from the standard panels.
