I hung both of them together by the same eyelet and they appear to be the same. Hard to tell with the slot though.

These are the wheel tire combo with stock suspension. Seem nice and flush. Will likely tuck in a bit more as the car is lowered, gaining a bit more negative camber.

I have installed Ohlin coilovers 2 days ago. Will be adjusting and lowering more from what Ohlins came as. Waiting for them to settle. Will follow up with images when lowered, corner balanced and aligned.

PS: This is my first Subaru. I had high expectations, and mostly it has been surpassed. However, installing the new coilovers, I noticed that the stock rear control arm is literally junk. This thing was warping with torque application, what a shame. I will be looking to replace this piece with an aluminum one. Subaru, not Toyota, also has the front lower control arm made of aluminum vs the same thin steel junk in the GR86. One less thing to worry. If you guys get the GR86, look into swapping with the BRZ aluminum piece. Savagegeese mentions this in his YouTube video as well.
I'm installing the same exact wheels, and I plan to leave the suspension stock except for some Eibach Pro-Kit springs. These should drop the car only about ~0.9", do you think I'll have and trouble?

Based on a discussion on facebook (with pictures) to figure SCCA legality, the hole is about .5" inward on the 2nd gen vs 1st gen RLCA measuring OEM parts

Can you provide a link to that FB discussion?

So I presume the motion ratio is now even lower than it was before

You commented on it lol.

It's a private group though so I won't post a link.

For those that weren't aware, TireRack has wheel data for the 2022s now.

And as I expected/hoped it shows that my wheels (PF01 18x8.5 + 48) will fit. Woot!

Interesting. They have 18x9.5 +45 as optional. Given they run conservative that seems promising, but also wonder if thats only at stock height

Edit: Filtering more they also list 18x9.5 +35 as fitting in the rear which we know wont work, at least without extensive fender work, camber, and stretch

I would bet it's at stock height/camber.

So once you add them to cart there are notes for aggressive fits. 18x8.5 +45 and 18x9 +40 did not have notes on checkout. And they are based on stock height and camber. I believe they base this on the tires the package them with which would be 255/35s for the 9.5 widths

18x9.5 +45

18x9.5 +35

A HD video (in Japanese) on various wheels & tyres fitment on the BRZ

The takeaway for owners who want to run wide wheels & tyres on stock suspension are
1. 18x9J ET45 (Toyo R1R 255/35) fits front & rear but rear needs slight camber

2. 18x9.5J ET38 (Toyo R888R 255/35) fits the front but won't clear the rear (17:53)

Okay, after reading the entire thread carefully it seems that stock suspension vs coilovers will yield different offset requirements. Just like last gen.

Can anyone help me confirm if 18x9.5 et45 with RCE SS1 Coilovers (comes with front camber plates) will fit without rubbing and without poke?

If 17x9 et42 with coils fits well, I’m wondering if half an inch can fit. The problem is there are so few 18x9 options out there, everything is 18x9.5…

I spoke to a few people running that setup and it will rub 100%. You're going to have to cut the rear fender tab and liner similar to a S2000 to fit it.

Also, people are saying that 255/35 is the best size for that fitment. About -3 degrees camber up front and natural -2.5 rear.
