I have a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2016 for sale $45. It has a full number pad with Razer's green switches (equivalent to Cherry MX Blue).

Yeah, in a way it's a non issue because it doesn't affect the performance of the card, but it's really loud - louder than all the fans.

Do you know if your card has the feature where under low load like idle it turns the fans off to the card or not?

Maybe, but there's a lot of people discussing this with EVGAs in particular. Some people RMA them and get another one that does the same thing. I think they just used cheap induction coils or something.

Maybe I'll try that leaving it running with benchmarks thing to see if it breaks/burns them in somehow.

Yes, the fans don't spin normally until it reaches a certain temp. However, I setup a profile in the XOC software, so when I have that program running, the fans spin.

Reason I asked is can you pinpoint that the buzzing starts when the fans kick up. If its buzzing all the time then it could be related to something other then the induction coils.

Not sure I follow you. It's buzzing/coil whining under load of gaming, not just sitting at desktop or web browsing, etc.

Ok that answers my question. I was curious if it only happened when the fan was running or not.

Spent some time in the sim this weekend and discovered That Project Cars allows setup changes for time trials. (Had this game forever and just assumed TT mandated identical cars)

I put NT01's on my virtual FRS and moved up to 3rd on the leaderbard! ( 8:15.550 Nürburgring Nordschleife, z1nonly is my steam name)

Got excited and tried to do the same thing on Project Cars 2, but no soft tire compound available in PC2. I'm on top there, (8:27.080 on "hard" street tires) but the game is new and there are only 27 people on the leaderboard. (GT86...no FRS)

Project cars 2 is supposed to have better physics, but the FRS in PC1 feels more like to my real FRS than the GT86 in PC2. Still, both games reward proper inputs and punish bad inputs, so it's good practice either way.

Another driving game I have, but need to actually play. AC adapter for my wheel is in tomorrow and I have vacation next week. Definitely time to get some time in!

Thinking about buying a pretty case for at home over the winter time.

Really like the Evolv Shift, since it's still decently small, but will display all my stupidly purchased RGB shit (RAM, mobo, etc) which is normally quite hidden with my Node 202. But then I remember I'd need to get things like fans, and a better cooler, and it quickly becomes not worth it.
