Clunking noise after installing springs

Installed RS*R Superdowns on the BRZ this weekend, and I'm getting a clunking noise all around the car in low gear at slow speeds. There are no noises at high speed on the highway, everything is smooth. After noticing the noise, we jacked the car back up and double checked everything, and nothing was loose. Drove the car all weekend hoping the noise would settle, but it hasn't. It's not better or worse, just clunky on bumpy roads and road divets, like something is loose. NOT a metal on metal sound. I'm taking it to my friend's shop this weekend to put it on a lift, and check the suspension. Has anyone else had something similar happen when lowering on springs?

Do those springs have rubber spring silencers where the springs compress?

Many others have installed springs and ended up with a CLUNK noise, the answer may be in one of the many threads about it. If after you've triple checked everything, then contact RS*R USA.

I had 2 separate noise issues when I did my springs and then LCAs 2 weeks later. The 2 culprits were the top hats (or mounts) not being tightened properly in the rear and then the sway bar end link bolt that attaches to the LCA was stripped and didn't tighten properly.

Triple check everything to make sure you have no play.

Try the upper mount nuts - especially on front struts. People tend to think all they need to do it tighten the nut, they forget that the inner shaft will spin. So they have to hold the shaft while they torque the nut to 41lbs. Try that.

by the way this is wrong.. most people blow their stock struts if they allow the shaft to spin while "torquing" the nut down, or trying to disassemble, or any combination of the two.

Except in my case, it worked.
I got a bad clanking from a loose upper strut nut because the dealer tech didn't torque it down to spec.
