Man... what is it with this gen and the MASSIVE amount of inaccurate information and typo's it has brought lol. Figures a base model wouldn't offer forged wheels though. Not sure any base model in history has offered such a nice item - certainly not when it comes to wheels.

Seems it's Subaru doing the quarterbacking on this play.
The same ones that achieved the valve springs own goal.

I just hope the stereo in the premium sounds good. Even my '15 BRZ Limited, the stereo was a joke. Just absolutely horrible.

Yeah, it's not like they didn't have ample time to get all their ducks in a row....

I bet all those fake mandates they had during the rumor mill timeframe is what caused them to keep inputting the wrong information!

Here's how the hierarchy at Subaru/ Toyota goes:

EVs and Crossovers.
...
Compact cars and sedans
...
What's on the menu in the cafeteria.
...
GR86/ BRZ.

The reveal of these cars has been muddled and somewhat unimpressive, to say the least. I wouldn't be surprised if they relied on the intern to communicate with some outside agencies to handle most of the marketing simply because Toyota/ Subaru can't afford to invest internal human resources into doing all of the marketing while working on projects that actually make money and are vital to both brand's survival - EVs and Crossovers.

So things look and feel "off."

Gen II was never going to be the second coming. My expectations have been nil going into this. The fact we got a second gen is a miracle. I could not give less of an A about how crappy the reveals have been, misinformation, and so on. It would be nice if it was handled better, but here we are, at the end of the ICE.

In 15 years most companies will have killed gas motors. The manual will be forever gone. Everything will drive and feel the same. Take what you are being given and be happy about it.

Lol. What are you even talking about? There's been just as much hype on BRZ as any car release at Subaru. It was teased like any other car, it had a big COVID-online-only launch, and has been at car shows since then. It showed up in the gymkhana video, the press has been out for ride alongs...

And Toyota gave out a bunch of pre-pro cars to aftermarket tuners. Do you have any idea how much those cars cost when they're not just rolling off the assembly line?
