And while I enjoy driving it at these times I no longer have a need to drive it. I walk past it in the carport on the way to the Yaris, think what a great looking car it is and proceed to drive off in the Yaris. I am no longer willing to pay $2000 a year to do less than 1000km in the same time.
It's time for something else.
2k a year!?!? Insurance and registration are that high? That's what it costs to keep all 3 of my cars legal here. Plus maintenance I suppose is 2.3k-ish. Except this year, my wife's Tribeca has to go...

The payments I made in 2020 was $944 for rego (which includes compulsory 3rd party personal liability insurance) and $930 for comprehensive motor vehicle insurance which includes my 60% no claim bonus. Probably a little more in 2021 but I don't know what I've done with those documents.

Milli Vanilli would've been superstars with today's music standards.

Our big corporate drive right now is "diversity". The team consists of 8 gay women between the age of 25 and 30 (they had profiles). No men, no caucasians, no hetrosextuals. They are about as anti "diverse" a group as you can get and they are setting all new HR policies. There was quite the battle when somebody called them out for this on our last worldwide call with Germany. I am sure there are at least 3 HR people that are out of work now.

At my previous company, one of my favorite meetings ever was when the org leader (org equivalent of a CEO) had a speech about how great a workplace we are, how diverse we are.

Diverse, though? My team was basically the only one with caucasians and Chinese employees.

Literally every other team under this org leader was Indian, and a good majority of those employees were from the same villages/regions in India. Like it was a running joke that they only look for people from the same castes and geographic regions. Such that people would be like "oh yeah I can tell by his face or last name that he is also from X place."

I don't really have an issue with Indians but "diversity in the workplace" is such a diluted, useless concept most of the time.

Oh and we got weekly catered lunches on some days.

One day a week every week was ONLY Indian food (not even that good) from a private vendor who was friends with someone who worked at the company. The other catered food was ONLY veggie/vegan, despite some of us loving meat and stuff.

Tribalism (or whatever the correct term) is just part of human nature. We're either in the club or we're a guest. It's all BS and the only thing each of us can do is to be the change we seek as much as our positions will tolerate. Otherwise, we end up living that change in a cardboard box under a bridge.

The company I work for went with the more traditional approach of having a diversity committee comprised of mostly middle-aged white men and one middle-aged white woman. Thankfully they were either quickly called out on it and took it to heart, or were self aware enough that the first action they took as a committee was to admit they got it wrong, disband it, and started over with a genuinely diverse group of people.
