Idle hunting on park

So when I put the car in park, the rpm goes from 500rpm to 1000, anyone know what the issue is?

hmmmmm........cars with automatic transmissions been doing this since 1950.

I think it's because the engine is relieved that it isn't turning stuff around in the transmission, when it is in park.

Is your MIL lit? Could be a bunch of things. Vacuum leak, TPS, MAP/MAF sensors...

Yikes, I just got this car 2 days ago...But no other warning lights are one. Just when I have it in park it's a slow rev nonstop. Guess a checkup on monday is required.

Actually the reving while at park is gone. And you're right the AC does cause it to rev now instead and also the speedometer isn't at 0 when completely stopped....
