Driver side door handle

Does anyone know if the door handle is the same as the one used on the tC and other scions? It's hard to tell from the google pics and pics on this site. I'm still waiting to hear when mine will be in for me so I can't check in person, yet.

Anyway, if anyone can look at them and let me know, I'd appreciate it. I'm interested in the door handle with the key hole (Driver's side). I think the passenger side is smooth with no keyhole.

Keyhole Plug. I have them on my MR2 Spyder (And Highlander Hybrid since it uses the same handle as the tC for which they're mainly sold).

Here's a link to the product for the other Scions:
http://www.keytechniques.net/scion-main-page.html

Once you see them on the car, the sight of the keyhole will stand out like a sore thumb on all other cars. It looks like we just need 1 plug for the FR-S since the passenger side does not have a key hole.

Get the handle for the other side and throw it on there, then just use the keyless entry, no plugged holes or otherwise, that would look better!

In the 4 years I've had my nissan with the smart key, I've not once used it in the door or the ignition!

haha. Exactly!

I've done the deal, just waiting for it to come in. Like Tom Petty says "The waiting is the hardest part". heh heh

If you do this and the battery in the car dies, you're going to be calling a locksmith. Either that or you'll be crawling through the fold-down back seats in the BRZ/FR-S (the trunk has a keyslot too.)

The physical key exists for emergencies (and valet security, but who uses that?).

Frameless window, better than a lockpick. Can't tell you the number of cars I've had to get into with frameless windows, never broke one either. Might be harder with the lip on these, but probably still doable!

Guess I'd better make sure all my expensive stuff is hidden if it's that easy to jimmy the window!

That's the benefit of the keyhole plug. It doesn't get glued in or anything. It just pushes into the keyhole and stays in place. If your battery dies, you can pick the plug out and use the key.

Thanks!

It looks real close for sure. Hopefully, I'll have mine soon and can test fit one. I'd also like to get the part number for the passenger side handle part where the keyhole would be. Not sure how to get that either.
