There’s a dealer in Lincoln, Ne that has their Halo white one up that is spoken for. My dealer in Omaha told me that the Lincoln dealership does that out of dishonesty. I personally think that they keep the cars up on the website to get traffic but I feel like it gives people false hope…
Mine is on dealer hold, yet still up on the inventory site. I dunno. I suppose one could say the buyer could back out and they'd rather keep interest up in case that happens.

Hey all, new-ish member here. I have a deposit with Spartan Toyota of Lansing MI. My sales guy told me I'm 2nd in line for my preferred pick (Neptune Blue Premium 6MT). They have one in transit (1/18 to 1/23 and F category according to the API) but that is slated to go to the first in line person.

Hope I can get mine soon!

Gotcha. With some of the horror stories I've heard of dealers selling reserved cars, it's never a guarantee till you drive off with it.

They must have another flag that they are checking to display the vehicle. I don’t care! I want my GR86 NOW!!!!

Well, we will see how this goes. Just put an order in for a Neptune Blue premium 6speed using the Toyota employee/supplier site (I do outside work for Toyota). I ordered the 3m film, rear bumper applique, HomeLink, and preferred package 1.

They are quoting 28,000 for the car, $666 for the accessories (they are discounted), minus a $600 program discount, and $1,025 delivery processing and handling for a total of essentially $29,000k. Sales tax will take me to $31,000k out-the-door.

What is crazy is that Vroom and CarMax are quoting me $28,500 for my 2020 limited/premium with 31k miles!! If it weren't for sales tax, I would basically be making the switch for nothing!! First, I assume everybody agrees I would be CRAZY not to do this. Heck, on the tires/wheels alone it's a no brainer - not to mention EVERYTHING else.

I will need to decontent the BRZ some before I sell it (stereo, header, tune). Really happy to learn that the headers will be a straight swap (currently running JDL UEL catless). Needless to say - very, very happy Friday for me!!

My car was on dealer hold as soon as it changed from A to F and when the ETA showed up.

Then it was displayed on their website for about 4 days until it was removed.

My ETA range is 01/10-01/15 but looks like it will be pushed up.

Received an update from my dealer, update is there’s no update, I don’t think I’ll be getting the car for a while. Put my order in on 11/23.

“we are still waiting on the factory to start the build we are waiting on that update from the factory ”.

Curious if I’ll get the car at all after seeing that message about Subaru not taking anymore orders for 2022.

I'm feelin' ya. I put in an "order" mid-Dec. I'm not in a hurry for a car, but if I could somehow know that I wasn't going to get this car until July or later I would consider hunting one down.

It seems crazy to me that an order a customer puts down money for can just float in space for months without any sort of ETA.

"eta: {currFromDate: "2022-01-31", currToDate: "2022-02-05"}"

This is interesting, as on the dealer side, my car hasn't moved from processing since the beginning of January, and both the other GR my dealer is getting and a coworkers 4Runner have the same ETA and are on a rail truck headed to our local rail yard. Just waiting on my eta to get pushed back to end of February

I put the order in basically when the car builder site went live, so idk what else I could have done lol.

Does the builder even do anything though? It just sends email to a handful of dealers notifying of your preference of car. And then it just goes into a black hole.

My point was, I contacted a dealer and put an order in with them as soon as they had info on the car.
