Got mine reserved just today at MSRP! Found a Premium MT in Trueno Blue that should arrive in about 2 weeks, the boat lands tomorrow. Super excited to have found one that was not already sold.

When you say "got mine reserved today" do you mean you just called them up and got an allocation? Or you've been on the waitlist and they got you an allocation just now?

The former. I called all my local dealers for incoming cars that were not already sold, and got this one. It was the only Premium 6MT car I could find in the city not spoken for. There were multiple base models and many AT's available, with arrival in a couple weeks.

I've been talking to some of these dealers for months. So, it was not like I just called out of the blue and got a car (well I kinda did...). None of my dealers were taking deposits until cars were in the system I guess.

I went to a large Toyota dealer yesterday and their huuuuuge lot was absolutely empty. It was jarring to see in person especially since that dealer is typically filled.

The crazy markups are probably just them not being in any particular rush to sell what thry have, a 10k markup would make up alot of loss ground. I think dealers that dont do high volume, that typically sell slower are just happy to finally move units to hit their quotas easier for a change, hence msrp.
