One other silly question:
The "lever lock" on the connector: does unlatching it mean lifting from the bottom and swinging upwards? I ask because, if that is correct, mine is decidedly reluctant to move, and I'm reluctant to more force into it without being absolutely sure. Ideally, if someone is willing/able to post a photo of the lever in the open position, that would be very much appreciated! |

I got my VSC ECU swapped on my 2015 UK car this afternoon, and the difference is pretty awesome.
But just to add some confusion, my car is an early 2015 (manufacture date February 2015, IIRC) which I figured *should* make it a 2014/2015 model year, and I'd need to do the repin. But on closer inspection, I did not. Thanks to all those who put in the legwork on this mod, it's definitely worth doing, in my opinion!! |

You activate track mode just like VSC sport, just pressing slightly longer (1s?). And it won't display track but vsc sport on dash obviously.
You can also activate now hill assist, but it won't have it's indicator on older dash. |

Thanks for this, wish I had seen it months ago when it was first posted! This excites me, as I love to tinker and have never been happy with the stock VSC on my ‘13. I’ve never been able to tell a difference between normal and sport, but they both have always responded way too early and abruptly for me. However, I’ve had the once a year upset on the street usually due to water or debris where it has probably helped me. Due to this, I don’t want to be full off on the street, especially on spirited drives with cliffs past the edge of the road. The only other car I’ve owned with VSC is a Fiesta ST, and even during AX if it’s reacting, it’s doing it so smoothly I can’t tell.
For track and a couple of drift days I’ve done, 3 second off has worked perfectly fine for me. The only thing I don’t like is the lights still flashing on the dash when it thinks it should be helping me. I’m curious if this will still be the case with the newer module? I’ve used the pedal dance a few sessions, but the only thing I noticed was unstable braking. I’m sure different skill level, brake setup, alignment setup could change that. It looks like there’s plenty of these modules on eBay, but quite a range in price. Looks like currently the cheapest is around $250. I think I may have found one elsewhere for around $125. What have you guys been paying for them? |

Welp. So I tugged too hard () and managed to pull the wire off with the connector still in the harness. Lesson learned..
