Loving the exterior. Would not buy with that interior.

Wheelbase is probably GR86 because EV, but that roof/glass and quality looks more Supra to me.

When I first saw the design (yr or maybe yr & half ago), exterior color was blue-ish color. Didn’t expect they change the color. Plus they were calling it different name. They also change few exterior design: I wonder they did that to fit the EV concept instead of hybrid.

Some design sketches that didn't make the cut.

I'll have to say on these I'm Team Silver (the design, not the color)

I like the exterior styling.

This is clearly an evolution/slightly more production looking version of the earlier EV sports concept, at least from the outside (that interior is still far too concept looking to be anywhere near production ready).

Just please, no silly Tesla-like steering yokes. Stick with a steering wheel - no need to change what has worked perfectly for well over a century. If they want something a little different, go with a flattened oval, but one that you can still have unlock in a roll between your hands.

Clearly Toyota enjoy playing around with various mid-engined looking EV sports car concepts. My two main questions remain, will they actually bring one to production or just keep releasing styling concepts every few years, and would it be an affordable EV sports for the average person with, say, Supra money, or some ultra expensive and exclusive EV supercar for the rich?

Also, at first I was like, no way would this be a future Supra concept, since the Supra is iconically a long-nosed FR car. But then I remembered that Chevy already turned their iconic FR Corvette into a MR car, and in the post-ICE world of EVs, batteries and motors can be crammed in to all kinds of places, freeing up the styling so it’s no longer bound by the old ICE-based proportions and rules.

Sadly no… at least they didn’t call it “MR2”. They usually use all their project cars by their code-name anyways.

EVs are running out of buyers, piling up on lots, and dealers are refusing allocations. This is what happens when cars are built for eco-nazi politicians/regulators, instead of the people that buy them. There's a number of practical reasons for this. Billions have been wasted, and these same a-clown regulators are the reason it's prohibitively expensive to bring new designs to market. If someone gave me an EV, I'd get rid of it quickly. The cost of battery replacement makes values plummet much more quickly than a gas fueled car. https://www.thedrive.com/news/akio-t...ight-all-along

I fixed it.

The Toyota economy car lineup has been ugly forever, IMO. The trucks, SUVs and sports cars were what looked good. Yaris, Corolla, Camry, Solara, Prius were all ehh. Now the Prius looks good, and this is an improvement. I like the changes, but it wouldn't be my top choice if I ever was in the market for a midsize economy sedan.

2023 vs 2025
