Installed new MAP. The old Omni one broke while trying to remove it. It was a moment of panic. Big screw to the rescue.

Swapped out my rear lights and waxed them in hopes to protect the clear coat that tiny bit longer. My oem driver side was ruined by condensation that led to a small puddle that ruined it. Now I need to replace the front bumper headlights (severe yellow oxidation that I DIY'd back to perfection using sylvania kit but lasted only 1 year, then called in a pro that also lasted 1 year, so now I'm just swapping out the headlights later). Need new headlights with integrated turn signals anyways because aftermarket bumper coming in without turn signal housing.

Goddamn do I love this community. Thanks for the PM’s and all the help. Y’all are amazing.
Thinking of printing a 3D cover now… not sure I’d feel comfy leaving it open like so. I’m OCD when it comes to dust and electrics.

i don't know if they're still being made, but there were a few places that were making added-depth fuse box covers for this purpose. i know there's a variation available for my tacoma. just check dimensions-- it might even be the same, just with different labeling. toyota/subaru don't like creating new parts for common items. they're still using the same radio plugs from 1986 to present.

Decided to go for drive to celebrate and car “steering wheel !” Dash light went up. Checked 80A in front for it and it’s good. Put all stock fuses back and now it turns on and goes off right away. Wahhh! Back to troubleshooting. Ran cheapo OBD from Autozone and no codes so I’m guessing it’s fuse/electric. Fml.

Went to a buddy’s house and changed my spark plugs at 63k. Everything went smoothly. Glad for all the videos and write-up’s on how to tackle it, I would not have wanted to try to figure out that process. Did not jack the engine just went in from the top and took our time. About 2 hours for us he did the hard side I took the easy side. He’s recently done a full strip and rebuild of a 300zx TT so the cramped FRS bay was nothing compared to what he’s been doing
Swapped out my old foggy tails with new ones and gave the car a nice cleanup with the clay bar and wax afterwards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
