Yes, replace the OEM RTV. It's overuse at the factory will drop beads into your oilpan and eventually collect at the oil inlet and block the screen and cost you an engine due to it causing low oil pressure. This is the main way these engines fail. I got 115k on mine before it did this to me.

Tuning shop installed my replacement engine in said this is common with the FRS/BRZ/86 platform. He opened pulled the pan on the replacement motor to remove the excess RTV and used less RTV putting it back together. Surgeline shop in south Portland, OR area.
