Full blown stage one turbo questions

Hello,

I procured a used full blown kit off of this forum and I'd like to get a new oil feed line, should I just look for any -4an line?

Also, I have the full blown oil pan, is -10an?

Sorry for silly questions just trying to get everything sorted for my build.

Generally -4an in and -10 out is universally the strategy for aftermarket, I have 99% confidence you will be fine with these sizes.

Where are you getting oil from? Top (next to oil gallery or passenger head) or front cover (oil pressure switch)?

FBM instructions say tap off of oil pressure sensor (switch?)

Turbo is oil only so no need to worry about coolant lines for now

Perfect, I imagine fittings were provided but the oil pressure switch thread is 1/8 bspt. Turbo feed is usually 7/16-24

I cut my hose back, put a small filter on it. It hides partially under my intake manifold and points towards the back of the engine. Never seen anything in the hose or on the filter having it vent this way. You could also get a catch can and then vent that to atmosphere.

Alternatively, you could ask them if they have a turbo intake with a fitting to pull vacuum, I really don't recommend it. I attached a photo of my setup I've been using since I first put a turbo on the car, no issues. Got the filter from AutoZone, came with the plastic elbow

Going to run it VTA and do the radium cc with a wrx pcv valve.

Started up today successfully!

I do have this odd noise that I don't remember having before?

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hlNV1sVt-_I

you hear it once the camera gets lowered. It's louder/more noticeable in person. It sounds like it's near driver side injector area/head

Am I crazy?

Haven't driven yet waiting for a part for my bumper

Not crazy but damn, I have nothing. Sounds like a solenoid/valve trying to engage. HPFP spill control valve wigging out?

Listened with a stethoscope and I can definitely isolate it to driver side near intake manifold/black fuel rail cover area

Wonder if I boinked the injector installl I did recently? is it possible for that to produce the noises? It sounds almost like a clock ticking with an occasionaly double or triple tick.

How to check hpfp spill control valve?

Edit: think im going to pull direct injectors today just to double check theyre okay

Hoo boy... Does it make the sound immediately on cold start? The spill control valve is wide open when DI is not engaged. It was a wild-assed guess. I wouldn't remove the DI injector cover based on that alone.

It definitely clocks to something regular/cyclic, but it's really slow! edit: any fault codes?

Doesn't that hose need vacuum? That goes into my 2nd catch can then around to my intake before my supercharger. Not sure if it has to do with the sound, just taking stabs in the dark.

That's a strange noise for sure. What else was changed with this build?

Direct injector install prior to turbo install, had maybe 20 miles on it? honestly now that I think back I wasn't happy with it because install felt easy but can't remember if it sounded weird or was just running rich STFT/LTFT were high post install (tuner checked logs and said it was fine and would get cleaned up after tuning turbo setup)

Radium PCV catch can and STI pcv valve with drain

FBM kit, fbm oil pan, killer bee oil pick up

4an oil feed from where JDL has their feed

modified radiator mount bracket to move it forward approx 1 inch for more space from turbo

have BOV tee'd into brake booster line

WG side port to port on turbo, top port is VTA

OMNI 3 BAR MAP

base tune
